Welcome
It is with pleasure that I welcome you to Dalby State School – a school steeped in history as one of the oldest public schools in Queensland. Over $3 million dollars worth of facility upgrades have taken place here over the last few years which have contributed to the establishment of a vibrant learning community.
Dalby State School celebrates the integral role Parents, Staff and the wider community all play in promoting a safe, challenging environment that not only achieves academic results but also prepares students for their future. Our focus to accept the challenge of catering for each child drives our thinking and makes our commitment to providing a range of programs in the academic, sporting, music and social development fields. Classes are realigned each year to cater for all children.
Our social skills program, learning support, sport and music program are consistently reviewed to reflect children’s changing needs and recognised developments in education. This makes us a progressive, busy and vibrant school. Our teachers are dedicated and they take pride in providing and promoting an excellent learning environment.
The inclusive and compassionate community of students, staff and parents provides the ideal environment for fostering individual strengths, meeting individual needs and challenging the abilities of each student in a supportive, positive and vibrant learning community. As well as ensuring that teachers gain the latest in professional development, a team approach to teaching is fostered
to ensure the best learning for every child

Positive school-wide behaviour management as with all learning, social skills and school routines need to be taught. Each week teachers will be advocating a new social skill and a school routine – “cool tool” - within their classrooms. These are then practised in a variety of settings.

Cool tool: Use the correct First Aid procedure!
