Dalby State School has the ability to deliver quality educational programs for the full range of children enrolled, from the gifted through to the students with disabilities.
Gifted Children have access to more challenging experiences through programs such as:
- Instrumental Music
- Tournament of Minds
- State and Nation wide competitions in major subject areas
- Extension programs within the classroom
- Technology
- Individual assistance where needed
Regular classroom programs are planned for all children based on the most up to date syllabus documents provided by Education Queensland. These programs are modified, when necessary, to assist children who are experiencing difficulties. Optional curriculum programs are provided, e.g. Arts Council, visiting guests in sport, eisteddfod program, touring programs of interest. A religious education program is provided weekly by the various church groups.

Positive school-wide behaviour management as with all learning, social skills and school routines need to be taught. Each week teachers will be advocating a new social skill and a school routine – “cool tool” - within their classrooms. These are then practised in a variety of settings.
Cool tool: Use the correct First Aid procedure!
