Dalby State School encourages 21st century
thinking. We understand that each
student is individual and brings with them a desire to learn and participate in
a curriculum that harnesses their potential to achieve wonderful results.
Our teachers plan engaging learning experiences that cater
for a range of students in their class. Teacher Aides work with teachers to ensure our students are provided
with regular support. A variety of
teaching practices are used including the regional focus of Explicit
Instruction whereby teachers scaffold learning experiences and allow students
to consolidate the required skills and knowledge.
"One of the greatest
tools available to us [as educators] in this pursuit is explicit instruction –
instruction that is systematic, direct, engaging and success orientated." Anita
Archer
